Talk about evolving …lay it on, lizards of Oz ...

Only a day … that's all it took for the bromancer's evolved mainstream president to devolve…

Of course there are alternatives to the bromancer universe …

The devolving could start at Politico for instance … but the pond was hungering for a domestic distraction …. and there were a number of options ...

As but the pond was intrigued, but as but the the pond had endured another day at the hands of the NBN …

You see little Timmie? That's the splash page you get when Malware's totally fucked NBN decides to bung on an 'on and off again' all day do …

…how pleasing it was to see that fate of Malware was up for grabs at the lizard Oz, and that the bouffant one had been given the grave duty of writing him down, perhaps as the start of writing him off …

By definition, anything that haunts Malware is a good thing, as the pond is haunted on a daily basis by his NBN … so lay on Macduff … and damned be him who first cries Hold, Enough ...

It's hard for the pond to make up its mind about Mr Turnbull's leadership, there having been scant signs of any, but it's easy enough to make up the pond's mind about Mr Turnbull's NBN.

Now before there's another drop out, or a total loss of speed, could there be a few graphs?

Regicide?

Could there be no graver crime in a secular democracy, or if you will, a Flinty crowned republic?

And as for the political tragics who lap it up, most of them are reptiles with an unhealthy regard for their survey, and they treat it like a rolled gold wristwatch of uncertain vintage and time-keeping capacity, but here's the thing.

Come the thirtieth poll, the reptiles will write it up, and the Terror will Photoshop up a front page, and likely drag in Peta for a comment, already hard at work this day sniping, undermining, and showing an enduring capacity for bitterness and bile, and not even needing an anticipation of a poll to get out the hatchet …

And then the ABC will pick it up and amplify it, and everybody will soon enough be talking about the state of the old petrol tank … and by golly isn't that illustration, suffused with ennui, a corker … it might just evoke what it's like being online on Malware's NBN ...

And so to a secret sigh, a little hint of yearning for the onion muncher ...

Around this point, the pond would normally call it quits, or perhaps head off to see the latest evolving story about the US President … so much bigly evolution by the Beast about the Beast

So much bromancer evolving, so little time …

But this yarn caught the eye ...

Was it a suggestion by the oscillating fan that, after the 30th haunting, Malware should do a Yukio Mishima?

The pond was ever so pleased it dropped in … what would cultists have done if they'd missed the sight of Malware being slapped on the cheek by a Python haddock, thanks to Eric?

As for the advice that the oscillating fan offers Malware, there's a reason he's a scribbler for the Oz and an academic, and not a political advisor.

What he's offering is the Gorton death march, and while it pleases the pond mightily, the complete silliness of the suggestion that Malware begin orchestrating his own destruction is something only the oscillating fan might manage.

Let's face it, Malware can manage that simply by keeping on pretending to be PM … oh and boasting about his NBN … but do, good prof, go on, never cry hold, enough ...

And there, in lieu of all the huffing and the puffing of the good prof, is what it's really all about. Get thee gone, Malware, and close the door gently on your way out ...

All this talk cheered the pond up no end. It seems that Malware will be gone before Xmas … with the 30th albatross dangling from his neck, and the reptiles determined to talk about the smell in as many ways as they can imagine …

Meanwhile, evolving Donald and devolving Malware aside, the good news is that there are other stories out there … why there's plastic everywhere, and it's even found its way into a Pope cartoon, with more papal news here … as he celebrates the way it's not only China that can claim a few new islands ...
